Nature Based

This Snapshot presents a profile of visitors who participated in nature based activities in Australia in 2008.

Nature based activities are defined as visitors who participated in, among other activities, at least one of the following:

  • a visit to a national or state park
  • a visit to a wildlife park, zoo or aquarium
  • a visit to a botanical or other public garden
  • a bushwalk or rainforest walk
  • whale or dolphin watching in the ocean
  • Snorkelling
  • Scuba Diving
