Tourist Consumer Protection Working Group

Actions under the Tourist Consumer Protection Working Group aim to enhance consumer protection for visitors to Australia and to improve compliance in the inbound tourism market with Australia's laws and regulations.

These initiatives include promotion of consumer information and complaint facilities in a range of languages for visitors to Australia. Tourist complaints are followed up to make sure the complaints are addressed effectively.

The Tourist Consumer Protection Strategy is being led bythe Australian Governmentin cooperation with the states and territories and the tourism industry.
