The Australian Standing Committee on Tourism (ASCOT) develops, coordinates and considers tourism policies in Australia and provides advice and makes recommendations to the Tourism Ministers.
ASCOT has the collective responsibility for implementation of the National Long-Term Tourism Strategy and the update to the strategy, Tourism 2020.
The Secretariat for ASCOT is provided by the Australian Government Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism.
