Invitation for public comment on applicants to the ADS scheme

The China Approved Destination Status (ADS) scheme allows Chinese tourists to undertake leisure travel in groups to Australia under a bilateral arrangement between the Australian and Chinese Governments. The Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism coordinates administration of the ADS scheme together with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship and Tourism Australia.   Interested Australian businesses are able to apply to participate as Inbound Tour Operators in the ADS scheme at anytime.

Applicants to the scheme will be assessed by the Australian Government on their industry fitness, immigration compliance and good standing.  At this time, the public are also able to comment on applicants.
