Australian Centre for Renewable Energy

The Australian Centre for Renewable Energy (ACRE) is a component of the Government’s $4.5 billion Clean Energy Initiative (CEI) that will promote the development, commercialisation and deployment of renewable energy and enabling technologies.

ACRE will be a one-stop shop for Australian renewable energy businesses, consolidating these programs:

Until the legislation to establish the ACRE Board is passed by Parliament, an Interim Advisory Board will be appointed.

ACRE was announced on 28 October 2009
