Londonderry High, Bonaparte Basin
Location
Areas W07-1, W07-2 and W07-3 are located on the Londonderry High, Bonaparte Basin, approximately 530 km from Darwin off the northwest coast of Western Australia (Figure 1). Areas W07-1 and W07-3 abut the Territory of Ashmore and Cartier Islands adjacent area boundary*. All three areas are located in water depths less than 200 m.
Area W07-1 consists of 66 graticular blocks or parts there of, and covers an area of approximately 4605 km2. It contains twelve wells, drilled between 1986 and 1998.
Area W07-2 consists of 72 graticular blocks and is approximately 5585 km2. It contains three wells; Backpacker 1, Tamar 1 and Wambenger 1.
Area W07-3 consists of 60 graticular blocks and covers an area of approximately 5020 km2. It contains three wells; Crane 1, Ibis 1 and Whimbrel 1.
