About the APEC Energy Working Group

The APEC Energy Working Group (EWG) is a voluntary, regional-based forum operating under the APEC umbrella. EWG helps further APEC goals to facilitate energy trade and investment, and ensure that energy contributes to the economic, social and environmental enhancement of the APEC community.

The EWG was launched in 1990 and seeks to maximize the energy sector's contribution to the region's economic and social well being, while mitigating the environmental effects of energy supply and use.

The EWG meets formally twice a year to discuss developments and progress on energy policy issues.  The outcomes of the EWG meetings are available from the following link: EWG Meetings
