Archived: Consultation for the draft Energy White Paper

About the consultation process

Developing the Draft Energy White Paper involved a comprehensive consultation process that included submissions, advice, consultation sessions, and the development of a reference group.

Targeted Energy White Paper (EWP) consultation sessions were held in July 2011, in Canberra. These were attended by selected representatives from industry associations, unions and non-government organisations from the social, environmental and skills sectors. A summary of the meetings is available (see Related documents).

The Energy White Paper Reference Group (EWP-RG) was established to provide high level advice on matters to be considered in the draft Energy White Paper.

Advice was sought from the reference group, along with previous public submissions received during the draft Energy Green Paper process.
