About the committee
The National Oil Supplies Emergency Committee (NOSEC) provides the channel through which Commonwealth and state governments create their overall management response to a national liquid fuel emergency.

NOSEC is a committee of the SCER and is comprised of representatives from the Commonwealth (chair), the states and territories and the oil industry.
Representatives from industry include:
- The Shell Company of Australia
- ExxonMobil Australia
- Caltex Australia Petroleum Pty Ltd
- BP Australia Limited
