The Department is responsible for providing secretariat support to the Energy Sector Group (ESG). The ESG is part of the Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN) 
for Critical Infrastructure Resilience (TISN), a larger forum in which the owners and operators of Australian critical infrastructure share information on all hazards and interdependencies between their sectors.
The ESG includes representatives from the private sector, state and territory governments and Commonwealth agencies. It considers medium to long-term vulnerabilities to develop infrastructure and organisational resilience in the Australian energy sector. ESG Meetings are currently held twice a year, with activities arising from discussions in these meetings continuing throughout the year.
