Enhancing Australia's Economic Prosperity
Resources Energy Tourism Department

Energy

The Australian Government is committed to the provision of adequate, reliable and affordable energy to meet future energy consumption needs and to underpin strong economic growth, consistent with the principles of environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
Energy Infrastructure Assurance Advisory Group

The Department is responsible for providing secretariat support to the Energy Infrastructure Assurance Advisory Group (EIAAG). The EIAAG is part of the Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN)  for Critical Infrastructure Protection (TISN), a larger forum in which the owners and operators of critical infrastructure can work together by sharing information on security issues and interdependencies between sectors which affect critical infrastructure.

The EIAAG includes representatives from the private sector and state and territory governments. It addresses medium to long-term vulnerabilities in the protection of energy infrastructure in Australia. EIAAG Meetings are currently held twice a year, with activities arising from discussions in these meetings continuing throughout the year.

If you would like further information on this Group, contact the Department via the Contact Us page.
