In its July 2011 Securing a Clean Energy Future package, the Australian Government announced it would establish a voluntary scheme for medium-sized energy users to participate in the Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) Program. Voluntary participation in the EEO Program commenced from 1 July 2012.
A Voluntary Agreement form has been developed to facilitate a partnership between corporations interested in participating in the Program and the Australian Government.
The form details the shared responsibilities of the corporation and the Australian Government that enter into a voluntary agreement. It also provides a template for corporations to register their intent to participate in the EEO Program on a voluntary basis.
