Agency Plan

As of 1 May 2011, section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 has required all Commonwealth agencies to take positive steps to advise the public how the public can access information in the possession of the agency.

A fundamental part of this process is a requirement that each agency must publish an agency plan [ PDF, 60KB | DOC, 92KB] indicating what information is to be published and how it will be published.

The Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism has prepared the Agency Plan that is referred to below and for which a link is provided.

This plan requires a number of ongoing activities which will ensure that, over time, more and more useful material is made accessible. The plan itself will be reviewed periodically and may be updated.
